This is perfect for my six year old grand daughter. It’s light and well balanced so that she can handle it on her own, manoeuvring it easily back into the surf after a ride. It’s her first surf board and It’s very easy for a kid to ride, she was standing on it on the first run. At first I thought it might be too long for her to handle on her own, but it’s great. The board is sturdy and well made. It withstands all the treatment dished out, including being ridden right into the sand
