Our Story

It all started at Labour Weekend in 2007, when co-founders working in a small store in Otahuhu, Auckland, spotted a massive opportunity: Kiwis love their action sports, but finding everything they need in one place was a challenge. In February 2008, they launched Hyper Ride as an online retailer focused initially on surf, skate, snow, and wake gear to change that. What began as a humble setup has exploded into New Zealand's No.1 action sports hub. In 2016, we expanded our range to include bike and moto, and the growth since has been amazing – with over 100,000 products available and a warehouse in Penrose that's buzzing with the latest drops. From those early days of spotting gaps in the market to now serving thousands of riders, shredders, and wave chasers across the country, our growth has been powered by one thing: pure stoke for the sports we love.
