Carogna Remover is a solvent that allows to completely remove solid mastic from carbon or aluminum rims. A clean rim is the ideal surface for gluing tubulars with Carogna tubular tape.

Characteristics:
Easy to apply: Carogna Remover - thanks to its high viscosity - won’t drip once spread on the rim gluing surface, over solid mastic.
Very effective: Waiting between 2 to 12 hours (depending on the mastic type), Carogna Remover will dissolve the mastic, making it easy to remove with a cloth or a plastic tyre lever.
Not smelly nor dangerous: Despite its very strong action, Carogna Remover doesn’t contain any dangerous or flammable chemical and is totally benign to metal or carbon fiber.
 No smell means you can safely use it indoor: Carogna Remover won’t force you to work outside or open doors and windows in your workshop, unlike fast evaporating solvents.

How to use it:
- Carogna Remover should be applied and spread over solid mastic using a small brush. We recommend to completely cover mastic traces with a thick (around 1 mm) layer of Remover. Thanks to its high viscosity, Carogna Remover won’t drip: it stays on top of the mastic, dissolving it.

WARNING: immediately clean Carogna Remover if any excess goes on rim decals, as some might be dissolved.

WARNING: do not apply on the tubular base tape! Carogna Remover might weaken the adhesion of the base tape to the tubular casing.
 - Allow Carogna Remover time to work (between 2 to 12 hours): depending on the mastic type, thickness and age, more time might be need. Once the old mastic is covered with Remover, the wheel can be hung somewhere and checked from time to time, trying to scrape the mastic away using a plastic tyre lever or a cloth. If mastic is still holding strong, allow more time.
- When the old mastic is softened, it can be removed using a cloth or a plastic tyre lever.

WARNING: waiting too long after mastic has been softened, it will revert to its solid state, incorporating Carogna Remover. No problem: just apply a new coat of Carogna Remover and restart from #1.

How many wheels can be done with a 150 ml tube of Carogna Remover?
This depends a lot on how much you put on each wheel. It’s realistically between 4 and 8 wheels.
Does it have an expiry date?
The chemicals used are stable. We warranty it for two years from the date of purchase.
If someone leaves it in his shed and freezes during winter time will it lose it effectiveness?
We recommend keeping Carogna Remover in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The product should be stored at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C.

Supplier / Logistics Warehouse
Products showing "Ships Direct from Supplier", "Ships from logistics warehouse" or similar wording are dispatched directly from one of our suppliers. These items are normally dispatched within 1 working day unless a different processing timeframe is displayed.
Specific Dispatch Timeframes
Some products require extra processing time. For example, "Logistics Warehouse – Allow approx. 2 working days before dispatch" or "Aus Stock – Dispatch in approx. 7–10 working days". Where a specific timeframe is displayed against an item, that timeframe applies.
Dispatch Time vs Delivery Time
Dispatch time is the time required for your item to leave the Hyper Ride warehouse or supplier warehouse. Courier delivery time begins after the item has been dispatched.
The dispatch timeframe shown against the individual product on the product page, at checkout, or in your order confirmation takes priority over the general timeframes on this page.
If your order contains products from more than one dispatch location, your items may be sent separately and arrive at different times. Each parcel may also have a different courier and tracking number.

Signature Required
Orders are sent signature required by default. If you provide permission to leave in your shipping notes, the courier may leave the parcel without a signature where their service allows.
PO Box Delivery

Tracking

Hyper Ride Warehouse Tracking
Hyper Ride warehouse orders are shipped using NZ Post. Tracking is automatically forwarded to you once NZ Post collects and scans the parcel. Tracking may not show movement until the first courier scan has taken place.
Supplier Tracking
Supplier-direct orders use the supplier's nominated courier. Tracking details are not always automatically forwarded to us or to the customer. If the dispatch timeframe shown against your product has passed, email us and we can request the tracking for you.
Orders From Multiple Locations
If your order contains products from the Hyper Ride warehouse and one or more supplier warehouses, the items may be dispatched separately and arrive on different days.
Different Couriers
Split orders may use different courier companies and have separate tracking numbers. Please check the dispatch information shown against each item in your order confirmation.

Orders do not ship same-day. All Australian orders first arrive at our Auckland HQ warehouse, where they are collated and processed for export. This can take up to 3 business days before dispatch.
Multiple Items
If your order contains multiple items, we’ll collate them at our Auckland HQ and ship them together so your order arrives in full.
Remote Areas
Delivery to rural or remote parts of Australia, including WA, NT, and Far North QLD, may take longer than the standard 4–6 business day estimate.
Dispatch Schedule
Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm NZ time. Our daily processing cut-off is 3:00pm NZ time. Orders placed after this, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed the next business day.

You’ll automatically receive a Team Global Express tracking link once your parcel leaves Auckland and is scanned into the carrier network.
