The result of over a decade of development in MotoGP and following on from Alpinestars' first-generation racing airbag system and the launch of the ground-breaking Tech-Air® Street, this latest version of Alpinestars Tech-Air® technology brings full upper body protection to serious track day and performance riders. Available separately and compatible with a range of Alpinestars leather suits and jackets, the Tech-Air® E-Race is completely self-contained, meaning there are no bike-to-rider set-up configurations required, which ensures the ultimate in convenience, freedom and versatility. When fully inflated, the system’s airbag offers critical protection to the back, the back part of the kidneys, chest and shoulders. Plus, with a simple upgrade the versatile system firmware, the E-Race system can be configured to run the Tech-Air® E-Street setting for non-race use in road and off-road situations.

- Specially designed, race-developed back protector, offering comprehensive inflatable full upper body protection for back shoulders, back part of the kidney area, chest and upper abdomen
- Incorporates removable inner mesh and elastic Velcro waistband to position airbag system and ensure custom fit and improve adjustability
- Deployment system utilises argon inflator cartridges which are approved to ISO 14451 standard
- System’s firmware is upgradable and can be configured to run the Tech-Air® E-Street airbag settings for non-racing use in road and off-road situations
- ACU is seal-protected to ensure its all-weather performance
- System and componentry are approved to function in all weather conditions between -10 ⁰C and +50 ⁰C
- ACU has been homologated to ECE R10 04, which ensures the electromagnetic integrity and stability of the unit
- System uses an integrated, certified lithium ion battery, with a battery life of 25 hours and a recharge time of approximately six hours. Micro USB charger allows convenient recharging of system, with one hour of charging time giving four hours of riding coverage
- System features a convenient connection system, allowing it to be connected to a race suit quickly and easily for peace-of-mind activation of airbag and LED display
- System features dual charge capability for M-2XL sizes
- Colour coded front YKK zippers allow an easy and secure attachment to an outer jacket
- Category II approved to the 686/89/EEC European PPE Directive, using a version of EN1621-4:2013, which guarantees impact protection performance between 45 milliseconds to 5 seconds
- Design and manufacture approved to the 2007/23/EC pyrotechnic directive

Delivery times for rural areas can vary depending on how often couriers service your location. Some rural deliveries may only be serviced once a week, so we recommend checking with your local rural courier if timing is important.

Once an order has been placed, we cannot process cancellations or edits.

We do not ship surfboards or stand-up paddleboards to Australia. We also cannot deliver to post shops or PO Boxes — a residential or business street address is required.

How Australian Orders Work
Order Processing
Orders do not ship same-day. All Australian orders first arrive at our Auckland HQ warehouse, where they are collated and processed for export. This can take up to 3 business days before dispatch.
Multiple Items
If your order contains multiple items, we’ll collate them at our Auckland HQ and ship them together so your order arrives in full.
Remote Areas
Delivery to rural or remote parts of Australia, including WA, NT, and Far North QLD, may take longer than the standard 4–6 business day estimate.
Dispatch Schedule
Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm NZ time. Our daily processing cut-off is 3:00pm NZ time. Orders placed after this, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed the next business day.

You’ll automatically receive a Team Global Express tracking link once your parcel leaves Auckland and is scanned into the carrier network.
Customs & Duty Charges
International orders may be subject to customs or import duties once they reach Australia. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient. Hyper Ride cannot control, predict, or waive these fees, and we cannot mark orders as gifts.
