- How much longer is the battery life on the SOUNDBOKS 4 than the 3? 20% longer at full blast (~6 hours)
- How has the grill design been changed on the SOUNDBOKS 4? The new grill has smaller holes and an easy detach mechanism that allows you to pop it off, paint it, and pop it right back on. It now comes in both Metallic Grey and Black.
- How loud is 126 dB? It’s very loud. We usually talk about it as concert-level loud, but honestly, you need to hear it for yourself to really get it.
- What is the usual playtime on a SOUNDBOKS 4? The BATTERYBOKS in the SOUNDBOKS 4 (compatible with all SOUNDBOKS speakers) lasts for ~40 hours when playing music at mid-volume and ~6 hours at full volume depending on the amount of bass frequencies being played.
- Do I need to use the SOUNDBOKS app with the SOUNDBOKS 4? Nope, but we highly recommend doing so. With the app, you can use TeamUp to connect other SOUNDBOKS 4, 3, and Go speakers. Without the app, you won’t be able to access things like the sound and performance updates. You’ll also miss out on our advanced controls and EQ profiles. Plus you can’t use TeamUp to assign speaker roles, and that stuff is really cool.
- What is an OTA and why should I care? Over-The-Air Updates (OTA) via the SOUNDBOKS App help keep your SOUNDBOKS performing its absolute best, similar to updates on your other devices (phones, tablets, laptops). In addition to pumping out new features and content, our team is constantly working to improve the SOUNDBOKS experience through OTAs.
- Do I need to register my SOUNDBOKS in the SOUNDBOKS app? If you want an additional year of warranty (on top of the standard SOUNDBOKS 2-year warranty) or if you want access to the full world of SOUNDBOKS, additional speaker security, and all the other awesome features we’re currently developing, then you need to register. But if none of that matters to you, then feel free to enjoy your SOUNDBOKS as it is out-of-the-box.
- Why does a Bluetooth speaker need to be durable? We have no idea what your shindigs look like, but parties and events we like have historically been pretty unpredictable, so we designed the SOUNDBOKS to be ready for almost anything. Our internal components have an IP65 rating (that said, the Pulse Reflex Ports mean it really shouldn’t be fully submerged). The electronics and battery can play in temperatures from -10 to +40 °C (+14 to +104 °F).
- Can I connect multiple SOUNDBOKS speakers wirelessly? With TeamUp mode, absolutely. Using the amazing SKAA (pronounced like the musical genre) technology, your SOUNDBOKS can host up to 4 other Go, SOUNDBOKS 3, or SOUNDBOKS 4 speakers in Join mode. You can also Join any Go, SOUNDBOKS 3, or 4 speakers that are in Host mode.
- Can I connect instruments and microphones to the SOUNDBOKS 4? Yes! The SOUNDBOKS 4, like 3, includes the ProPanel with microphone (XLR) and mixer/instrument (TRS) inputs.
- How do you write SOUNDBOKS properly? We always write SOUNDBOKS in all-caps - be it on products, in manuals, toolkits or on the bathroom wall.

Orders do not ship same-day. All Australian orders first arrive at our Auckland HQ warehouse, where they are collated and processed for export. This can take up to 3 business days before dispatch.
Multiple Items
If your order contains multiple items, we’ll collate them at our Auckland HQ and ship them together so your order arrives in full.
Remote Areas
Delivery to rural or remote parts of Australia, including WA, NT, and Far North QLD, may take longer than the standard 4–6 business day estimate.
Dispatch Schedule
Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm NZ time. Our daily processing cut-off is 3:00pm NZ time. Orders placed after this, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed the next business day.
